380trix_logo.jpg

Well its about time I start my new Build / Project Log. I have been planning my new build designing in a couple of different cases, IN-WIN 901, NZXT H440 and the one I chose to go with the Corsair 380t.

So lets go on with it.

As you can or cant tell from the name, the Trix ending I am using is because I am basing it on the Asus Strix Edition Graphic Cards, lot of people do ROG builds so I wanted to do something different so my colour scheme is orange and white, black, grey. without giving away to much information on how it will look. I have ordered some acrylic and my Dremel will be coming out for some fun too.

While that's all I am giving away on the colour and look, I can tell you there will be 2 x 240mm Rads and a 120mm Rad with 5 NB Eloops and all components under water inside this case!

Main Companies being used.

Corsair
Silverstone

Sad News - 380t is overdue on the ETA on OverclockersUK, so I now have to wait another whole week till next Saturday, hopefully they will get some in by then. mean while other stuff is starting to turn up so I will start taking some pictures soon!

also I have now updated the final Component List

@vsg28, well a case never comes the way I plan my builds, so when the case said the front will fit 2x120mm fans in the front, I will make it fit a radiator too. and what ITX case doesn't come with cable management holes in either...you can see where this is going!

hopefully it will turn up soon, I also am waiting on my cable braiding and replacement atx pins... another clue to what is going to happen to the PSU cables

well good news, got a message back from OcUK yesterday and the delivery for the 380ts' is this week so it should be arriving this weekend :D

@ monty, thank you, sure be interesting as this is my first build log on OcUK, normally I just throw the pcs together with mods but never take pictures so thought I would make this time different, also loving your 2 builds at the minute especially the itx.

@ jimbaw, you hit the nail on the head, while this does look like a tool box, (not modding it into a toolbox of course :p ) I think it is quite a unique case which is why I like it so much. so you will have to see how much you can actually fit into this big but Itx case

2 days till my parcel should be arriving (wish I wasn't working so I could focus more on this :D )

Thank you and these are my 1st build logs on this lovely forum I must admit I have in the past rushed ahead with work and not took enough pics so yes take time to photo stuff and take notes all the time i find it helps me a little bit :)

@montymole Sorry for the very late reply, as I have been busy at work as they put me on a course in London for a couple of weeks so I was literally getting home, eating and then going to bed. 2 hours there and back isn't nice :P.

Anyway on the other hard with the build this is now 'put on hold' even though some of the stuff has arrived, but there is a big delay on the 380T on OcUK so I cant start the project. The ETA was 18/09/2014, and it is now 04/10/2014 so its annoyed me a bit.

So this is now a waiting game for the case to become available from OcUK, but once it has I will be ordering it ASAP so I can get this project log underway.

Sorry to anyone that was watching this to see what was going to happen. I wish I could just get the manufacturer to just make 1 and ship it to me to save all this hassle.
