Hey everyone, cutting to the chase, basically I've bought a nice size full atx case (62cm high) for my new project. Please before we go any further, remember to have patience with this build as I am a 16 year old studying ICT full time at college, so don't have a huge amount of funding at the moment.

Let's move on now however, this project is going to be a watercooled build (my first ever) and am going to be basically stripping the case down, adding extra bits here and there, spraying it, putting custom watercooling inside it and hopefully coming out with a smile on my face!

Here's some ideas of the case, I'm due to receive it tomorrow (15th October) so will be able to post some far better pictures then, for now though I am eager to get some feedback and any ideas you guys have for the customisation and build process!

My exact idea, I've been wanting to do this for around a year now. I thought now is the time to do it when I'm going to be able to actually have the time to work on it.

Unfortunately I don't have the tools, space or time here at uni to do a project. Perhaps during the summer. Do you have any sketches or plans?

Going to work on making a plan tomorrow once I receive the case and get all the specific measurements, then I can start cracking on with some work on it. Have the feeling it's going to cost me an arm and a leg though, by looking at just the customisation and watercooling!

EDIT: Also, forgot to mention. Got these 5 beauties today! 3 I plan to use on the Thermochill 120.3, and 2 within the case itself, Sorry for bad quality, bad lighting after dark :(

It's always interesting to see huge cases being modded, so I'll be watching this too. So far I've stuck to smaller cases but one day'm gonna have to have a go, mainly because I want to make something with the worlds largest resovoir. :D

I've got to ask about the project name though, is there a generator somewhere that puts two random words together? If not I'm gonna have to write one! :p

PK!

The project name was thought straight from my head, I don't believe there is a generator out there - just stuck two words together that sounded good!

That case is absolutely hideous. For that reason alone, I hope your project is a success. :p

Your right, it's a bog standard "Full ATX" case. Shocking at that, perfect for customisation and adding watercooling however :)

Thats one big case.

Quick update: received the case today, a day later than expected but I can't moan as usual is 3-5 days apparantly! Also, went into my local wilkinsons today to buy primer and paint. Apparantly, you now have to be over 18 to buy aerosols, strangely the woman at the counter was the same one I used to buy spray paint a few months back without problems. To say I was annoyed is an underestimation. xD

However, on to the pictures of this beautifully crafted piece of kit, pfft ;)

Decided later on with my father, that it'd look quite nice with a black hammerite spray. Looked around and it seems asthough it gives a good effect, saves priming the case too.

As stated in original post, if you've got any ideas where to mount everything then go straight ahead. I'm open for ideas, as I'm pretty clueless at the moment looking at the amount of space I've got in here!

I wish I got one of these now :( , From a watercooling point of view I'd probably say sack off the top 2/3 optical bays. That should give you enough room for a triple rad on the top and leave space for pumps and res. I'd probably rotate the hard drive cage 90deg so that they load from the side.

Ah, you mean like cut off top 2-3 drive bays? To make way for the radiator so to speak?

Just ordered some cable sleeving, a temperature sensor and 2 akasa fan filters for the front. Here's where I'll be placing 2 front fans.

Already coming along quite nicely, and I got my 'Education Maintenance Allowance' come through yesterday, so that'll be back dated to beginning of September and allow me around £200 to spend ;)

Aha, thanks man. I got it from an auction site however the guy that sells them has recently been removed from there, and I'm not sure why. He did however have 20+ more to sell.

Thanks ticktock, be sure to subscribe :)

Very nice case - will be fun to work on!

I had a fairly similar slightly smaller one a few years ago -

Great cooling - if i had one now i would certainly have fun watercooling it.
