Hello everyone, welcome to what will probably be a rambling oddessey of expensive mistake making misery and waffle :)
This isn't one of those style over substance, spectacular showcase builds I'm afraid... Sorry, I'm trying to be slightly practical here.

Here's what we're working with fwiw:

- 3970x
- Rampage IV Extreme
- 16Gb 2133 Dom Plats
- 3 x 290
- Essence STX II

So I've had this lot sitting on a test bench (and a table) while I've been umming and ahhing over this case and that case and it turns out there's nothing that really does it for me for one reason or another, so it looks like a DIY job is in order.
It's currently a dual loop setup with a 1080 Mo-Ra on GPUs and a 360 Monsta on CPU. I have a bunch of other rads lying around, but I like this combo for it's ease and simplicity in terms of setup and bleeding etc, so it's going to end up in the build if I have my way about it.

I would welcome your opinion on certain things like whether I should have the 1080 rad facing the other way due to possible lack of intake airflow on it's four 180mm/700rpm fans with a 45mm gap between them and the panel. I suppose I could mock up something and test it myself tbh, but hey, I like group participation :)
It could go either way really and filtering isn't a problem.

I've gone for a clean, almost monolithic look, but there's plenty of room for fancy stuff like illuminated inlay work etc and final exterior stuff like grill design hasn't been fully decided yet. By all means make suggestions as I'd welcome another set of eyes here.
I haven't put the tubing in there, though I have put something representing panel pass through fittings to show where they will be routed and it'll likely be acrylic tubing in the main compartment in a very simple vertical arrangement with a bit of an angle to maybe match the RAM.
It'll also be UV illuminated in green of course. You know me :D

Anyway:

You may be questioning the reservoir location... Apart from the tubing that I couldn't be bothered to remove from a previous design, this is how I have it set up on the Mo-Ra right now and it works a treat. The rad basically bleeds itself without interference. I'd also have to make the case larger to accomodate it and I like it for being a little different tbh.
Both pumps are in the bottom section. The cpu loop will be run by an XSPC D5 cube res combo down there.

Btw, the mobo is slightly smaller than should be. There is a dotted line representing the correct size.

Size reference (H=600mm W=395mm D=500)

On the left, a box representing the size of an Enthoo Primo and on the right, a Caselabs TH10 (because I've seen one and they're bloody massive, this is there to remind me of where I don't want to go size wise and it also helps to make mine look small :p)

The frame is 1" Aluminium box section which I'll probably cut myself and it'll be simply joined together with a selection of these.
Panels are 5mm acrylic, except the front which is probably gonna be a 2x3mm sandwich and will likely have to be cut by a third party, perhaps Parvum if I can afford it :o
They'll be attached with M4 screws via the wonder of Rivnuts.

The mobo and PCI slot mounting will be handled by simply using the top tray from my test bench and bolting it to the acrylic panel behind it. The tray will be wrapped in matt black vinyl.

Initial plan is to order the materials for the frame and grab some 5mm foam board to mock up panels and mounting points etc before finalising panel size/aesthetics etc.
That'll probably be done in the next couple of weeks hopefully.

So there we are. By all means make suggestions and point out whatever you think I've derped on or neglected to mention :)

Looks very nice. Somehow you managed to make a square box look interesting. :D

Can't wait to see the progress, looks like a simple and clean way to make those joints!

Cheers, it is hard to make a black box look interesting while trying to keep it clean and somewhat classy.
Not sure I've succeeded tbh, but there's plenty of time to make changes and stuff :)

I probably wouldn't attempt all this if that framework wasn't so simple to put together tbh.
Not having a workshop or massive selection of tools can be pretty limiting with stuff like this, so I'm mad jelly of those guys that have access to serious facilities...
Oh well, just makes you try a bit harder to work with what you have I guess... And then pay someone else to do the stuff that you can't :D
