A mate of mine who has started his project log has been badgering me to start one as well... because we talk a fair bit about what we are planning some ideas overlap. This is my first attempt at watercooling, as well as doing any sort of modding to a case. Hope it comes out as planned.

Current PC:
Case: Coolermaster Elite 335 Case
CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 Black Edition 2.80GHz
MoBo: Gigabyte GA-MA78LMT-S2 AMD 760G
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz
Hard Disk 1: OCZ Vertex 2 - 30GB
Hard Disk 2: WD 500Gb
Optical: Really old DVD drive
PSU: OcUK 650W Dual-Rail
Gfx: Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB

Planned PC:
Case: Corsair 650D
CPU: 2500K, or 2600K Intel... depending on mood when buying.
MoBo: TBD
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz
Hard Disk 1: OCZ Vertex 3 - 60GB
Hard Disk 2: WD 500Gb
Optical: None
PSU: OCZ ZX Series 1000W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply
Gfx: 2x Asus GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB

As you can clearly tell, this is going to be a major upgrade in terms of performance. My current PC as much as it runs well was setup on the cheap. I dont plan on running an Optical drive in the new PC as I dont see the point. Everything can be downloaded now days.

Parts I currently have:
Case, PSU, Tubing, Sleeving, 1/2 the ram, 1/2 the GFX cards, top 240mm rad, front 200mm rad, 2x Scythe Gentle Typhoon 120mm fans,

Parts I need to buy:
RAM, GFX card, CPU, Mobo, HDD, More Tubing, Elbows, connectors, waterblocks for CPU, GFX and RAM, Pump, Res, mesh and acrylic basement.

A fair bit to buy, but the RAM, GFX, CPU, Mobo and HDD will be the last things to purchase. Reason being they are expensive and there is a lot of other work to do around the case anyway.

One thing I think the 650D misses is a basement to hide the PSU and to make the whole thing look amazing. So I am going to get a basement made up out of acrylic which will cover the PSU and Pump. Where it ends, I will have mesh to obscure the view of the front Rad when the side panel is on.
The res will stick up out of the basement with all the piping hidden.

The overall aim of the case to to have it really really neat and tidy with as little cableing and tubing visible as possible. I have yellow tubing inside which I may run the Mayhem Aurora clear, but this is subject to change. I will also get black tubing for areas where I dont really want to see the tubing.

The colour theme is Black and Yellow. The work really starts tonight on this propperly so pics to follow.

Decided to do some shopping:

OcUK Tech Lab - D5 Vario Pump & Alphacool HF D5 Top Value Combo
Lamptron FC6 5.25" Bay Fan Controller - Black
Alphacool Cape Corp Coolplex Pro 10 LT
EK-PSC Adapter Rotary 90° G1/4 Black
EK-PSC Adapter Rotary 45° G1/4 Black
EK PSC Compression Fitting 7/16 [16/12mm] - G1/4 - Black
XSPC 7/16" ID [16/11mm] High Flex Hose - Black

I know the res is small, but I like that about it. Short and stubby.

Only snag I have run into is the CPU block I wanted is copper (as far as I can tell), if anyone can tell me otherwise I will be happy and order it.:
