This build is inspired by the car from the green hornet movie.

SO. the first thing i done was change the orange on this

To a nice green

Removed the front panel

Started to drill out the rivets when suddenly...... The drive bay is actually part of the case frame.
And i thought i was in for an easy night, Dremel is calling my name!

Like the inspiration behind this build! Have you thought of chroming the front grill on the pc case to match the radiator grill on the motor?

Funny you should say that..
We've been talking about using chrome, or at least grey.
I'm a little skeptical as the rendered look kinda throws me off.

Could help to get someone else's perspective on it ?

Like Ukxenon said i think the chrome would ruin it. Could possibly do Black with some hints of green in it?

I'm still... on the rocks with what to go with, i'll buy in the chrome materials as well as the black, try them both, take pictures. Trial and error i say

liking the CPU cooler, how much did it cost? tempted to get one myself.

the green on the case looks better than the orange so a improvement there

The cooler costs around £50-60 and so far my overclocked 6700k @ 4.8ghz has peaked 27c on idle, 58c on load, using the thermal paste provided with the cooler

Do you do this for a living mate?

Partly yes.
I also do reviews and special builds for companies whom i cannot mention on here.

Love green and black builds, can't wait to see the finished product

i'm actually in talks with gigabyte at the moment regarding this build and a scratch build i'm working on is secret.
Never know it might be this motherboard that's used.

The colours are great! How is the base 800 case fans performance and noise?

The silent wings provided with the case are as advertised, completely silent.
Performance wise, they provide a pretty good air pull, providing you lower the front fan cover. As long as the fan cover is up, the airflow is badly restricted.
The case it's self, even with the double glazed window edition is really quiet.
i think the only thing i can hear on this case is the pump from the loop.
tested in my previous be quiet mod

Would also like to note, that this project is on hold for a few weeks while i'm currently in a fractal design modding competition.
