Hello,
If you planning to get married remember that computers and wife's don't get along. So I decided to build desk pc on a budged to make the pc totally invisible. If you are expecting some serious hardware and watercooling look away now !
I'm using my old Casecome case and what ever was inside and that is:
Intel Q6600
Asus p5q Deluxe
Hiper 880W
Gtx 285
DDr2 4gb
500GB HD
AC Freezer xtreme (only decent one within 13cm height)
Plus new white monitor, white speakers and white external dvd,
My plan is to use Aluminum to crate custom case which will slot underneath corner desk, my plan is as well to create guide which will tell you how not to build desk pc, so you will know what mistakes not to do and what to avoid. I'm not going to use and laser cutting or welding or any professional tools. It's only going to be drill and angle grinder to cut (Dremel would be probably better)
My aim is to use my old Hardware as a testing kit to see what temps and noise I'll be getting and if this build will work... If yes then I'll be upgrading to intel refresh.
My old project using ikea desk which I scraped because there was not enough height to do it and I didn't want to use pci-e riser
New project (Squares indicate fan positions) psu will draw air from side and exhaust to the back
My current pc:
Desk arrived from USA and I paid for it £80 incl postage
Inside
And outside
New speakers
New monitor
For the aluminum panels I paid £14, bottom one is 3mm and sides are 2.5mm grade 5251 cut to measure, I was hoping the company will be able to angle sides for me so then I would only have to attach back to it, but they are only the suppliers so all 3 panels I will have to attach my self using angle brackets, on pic they are taped together
And the plan (Length 530mm by 347mm and height 150mm)
