I have a pretty low end laptop these days 650m SLI overclocked to 1150mhz respectively and a i7 3230 @3.2ghz.
Until now I've been playing Assetto Corsa with respectable performance capped at 75fps to mate the screen refresh (overclocked too from 60hz)
However Project cars mostly low/medium settings @1080p
FXAA - does not seem to do anyting apart from hit FPS
SMAA - as above
Both FXAA and SMAA also do not remove the jaggies (pixelated edges) on the white lines on the outside of tracks.
If I turn the above to off and turn on MSAA the jaggies disappear albeit my FPS cannot keep a constant 60fps mostly the start of a race, so first corner normally equals a lot of slow down and certain parts of tracks e.g. start finish grandstands.
In RF2 you could clamp negative LOD that would remove jaggies with zero performance hit.
Is there anything I can do/tweak here or am I simply limited by my aging laptop and it's time a for an upgrade?
