Project Cars 2 is it worth investing

I see they are looking for investors for this and wondered if anyone actually made any profit from investing in the first Project Cars.
I remeber people posting that they received payments but was it worth paying a lump sum up front and did you get more back on top of the cost of the game than you put in, they do say on their website don't see this as an investment, though

I backed Pcars 1, ony £10, but the way I see it is that the first game needed funding but the game seems to have sold well and they should be using that or selling the idea to a backer to fund the project. I don't think most people would see it as a profit making venture, maybe not even a break even deal.

I "Invested" in PCars 1, I paid £30 for a pre- early access version. On the one hand, I was livid that I still had to actually buy the ******* game after it launched (admittedly for £10 as my £30 was taken into account by Steam). On the other hand I've recieved probably £25 back over the past year or two. Certainly don't think of it as profit making!

I wouldn't bother. I personally feel a bit iffy about a major developer and publisher using crowdfunding.

For the first project cars i could understand a potential need for crowdfunding. However they should be able to create Pcars 2 of the back of the huge success that their first game had and actually seems slightly cash grabby to me though i could very well be wrong.

pretty simple they put up your money then they have literally no risk if it bombs. if its succeeds you get a small benefit they get a massive benefit.

its wrong especially after the money they made on the first game.they are a dodgy company anyway so not surprised.

not played PCars 1 but this sounds like a pretty risky venture, I would avoid. Especially if the first one isn't finished.

hmm think i may of got 2 payments, imo its not worth it as a "investment", but if you want to play about with pcars2, then go ahead. the higher teirs may give better rewards, i dont know

I kind of wish I backed the first Project cars, but not terribly. And this time it just feels like they are being a bit greedy.

I backed the first one for a tenner and have had a few quid back. Mainly I just thought they were building the game I wanted to play so I wanted to support it.

I agree with the other posters who are expressing concern over them crowd funding when they should be able to secure funding off the back of their first game.

not a chance..

They never really bothered to finish Project Cars 1, and they should have used or be using the money they made from the sales of what is basically an un-finished and now all but abandoned first game instead of asking the public to pony up the money.

It's been what, 15 months since 1 ? What else are they going to add to justify a second entire game?

All the stuff they promised for the first game from the looks.

Oval racing, proper pit stop crews, bigger selection of cars and the full indy racing licence - all of which was meant to be in Project Cars 1 but never made it.

Questionable indeed.

I'd like to see this too please OP. I've just checked the forums and don't see anything. To the best of my knowledge there has been no low level investment sought from gamers. The packs that were available for PCARS 2 development, and closed some time ago, were for the opportunity to contribute to development, have voting rights, get a special edition version of the game at the end, receive all future DLC content etc. It has never been presented as an investment opportunity.
