Slightly Mad studios have confirmed that Project Cars is coming to Xbox One & PS4 in Autumn 2014.

Really looking forward to this, never played it on PC but it looks amazing.

Played some early alphas on the PC and it was OK given the early development state.

I'm really interested to see what the final PCars game will turn out like, if it ever comes out.

This is not competition for forza/gt. There are only 20 or so cars at present. Since I started playing it 18 months ago 10 of these cars were added so it doesn't have the car count in the hundreds like those games do. However the track selection is quite wide with the usual suspects including the 'ring but still not in the same league as the forzagt.

The handling is similar to forza but a bit more realistic.

You cannot upgrade your car. I don't think this will be implimented based on the 'tone' of the game.

It is more of a competition racer rather than normal production cars.

Whatever happened to quality over quantity?

As far as physics go go I've never played forza so cant comment on that. Although I do recall Tiff Needell saying forza gameplay was far from realistic...

I think forza 4 was the perfect balance of quality/quantity. Gt5 went for quantity over quality with 1000 cars, some of which were low poly and no proper interior view. Pcars has so few cars that once the novety of the extremely good graphics wears off, which admittedly takes a long time, does have a very small quantity of cars and things to do (i.e. upgrading) so aims for too much quality but nothing to do with that quality. In my opinon.

The lack of upgrades turns me off, I play the Forzas/GT's so I can hunt down my fave cars and then upgrade and tune them for some epic racing action. Engine swapping in Forza 3 was tons of fun.

This game is taking so long they have had to shift to the new platforms as they missed the boat on the previous Gen.

I've got a bit dissolutioned with the PC development version. It seems they can't leave things alone, constantly fiddle, and then take such a long time they end up having to redesign whole segments as they fall behind the technology. If it arrives in 2014 I will be very surprised. Actually ill be surprised if it ever gets released at all.

Hmmm Morpheus feels like it might be an actual thing - cant wait to see if they can do a KZ with it using Move as the gun...

ps3ud0

Still can't get excited by this. I think my experience of the early PC alphas has tainted it for me :/

Hope it's good, normally I'd be all over a game like this and have it pre-ordered for Day 1.
