With a much needed upgrade my old MSI 3870 was packing in, so to replace it i got the Asus Direct CU II 6950 and due to, well lets say "mis calculations" on how big it was. i didnt really want to get a whole new case as i was getting a new PSU, cooler and case fans already i was a bit out of money.

As you can see its a lot bigger than my old card o.0

So with the help of some assorted tools, i cut into the FDD and HDD cages and was left with a rather unsupported HDD cage. Problem solved with a piece of aluminium bent and rivted into place! Now due to the lack of black paint i had at the time i used a sharpie to colour it in ha!

The case's side panel comes with a grill for mounting two fans, but thats no use when you want to show off your brand new graphics card :D

One coat done in a nice vibrant red, it looks pretty average, need to get rid of the blemishes and add another few layers of paint but nether less its coming along. Held in place with blutac and masking tape, i have the scrap piece of plastic to sit in the side panel till the painting has finished where i have a laser cut window ready to be installed.
