Hi Guys Welcome to Project Chappie

Project chappie will be my new showpiece computer as the current one is z77 and my first personal build. I am doing a lot different in this I am going ITX witch I have never used before and will be doing a custom loop in a later date witch I have never even gone near before.

So this build will be in two stages first is the build it self-witch will be air cooled and the second step will be to hardline water cool it.

So the build will be in the fractal Nano s as I just love fractal cases and I have always wanted an ITX build.

Parts List

Asus ROG Strix Z270I Gaming £199.99

Core i5-7600K pretested @ 5,0 GHz (From CaseKing and binned by der8auer) £256.93

Team Group Vulcan T-Force 16GB £119.99

EVGA GTX 1070 Founders Edition £340.00

Corsair SF Series 450W £91.00

SST-PP08 SFX to ATX PSU Adapter £10.00

I decide not to go super high end as I am happy with 1440p gaming and wanted to save money were I could

For the second stage I have a bit of an idea what I what to do but I am unsure as ek are rumoured to be coming out with a monoblock for the Z270I but all the fitting and blocks will be ek as I think they look the best.

Hoping to start Easter weekend if the cpu and cooler arrive on time.

Hope you guys enjoy my build and I am looking forward to sharing it with you

Good luck with your build be interesting to see how it goes.

I did a nice X99 in nano S and Frankenstein'd an ek predator 240 to water cool it as there isnt much room in it the predator served the little nano case really well.

it was fine cooled a 5820k and titan x pascal pretty well

take a look if you interested...

Thanks YOU
Yeah i have seen you build i love it i was planing on the predator but when they had the problem with leaks and now you cant find them but i think they are planing on bring a new one out soon.

Good choice on the mobo, I have one in a Corsair Bulldog and it's a cracker!
Thanks. Yeh it was a no brainier for me all ways have been a fan of asus mobo and the color scheme on this one is just stunning

So The First Stage is now completed and wow it was a challenge with the size of it all. I am in love with how its turned out and can’t wait to watercool it. Defiantly going to get quite a few spare petg tubes to make sure i get it all done over one weekend.
Here are some pic of the system now

So The Next plan is to get some custom cables from cablemod because the ones that come with the sf are very short and the extensions make it hard to manage. I am only going cablemod mainly because u get 20% off code with the motherboard and they do look pretty nice

I am now also now playing around with loop and rad configurations but I am thinking for now a 240mm slim rad from ek should be fine to cool the cpu and gpu.

I also plan on using a full size ddc Reservoir either making one up out of Bitspower and EK parts or using the Protium DDC Mod Kit from singularitycomputers what i think is the better choice.
