Project: Compaq Ipaq

Well, I don't really know what sort of project this is. More of a 'make it up as I go along' but we will see

Got this Ipaq from a mate, owns a scrapyard. The amount of computers he finds is stupid! This little thing caught my eye and he said I could take it. Wasn't going to refuse so brought it back and it does fire up with a different psu. The original is knackered as you can see in the pics!!

What I picked it up like

The Wrecked PSU

Stripped it all down to get ready for painting

Top gril slats taken out

Filled the rough edges and over the compaq on side panels

Nearly done!

I'll keep this updated, don't really know where its heading!!

I do need to get a psu though, have to check whether its a normal Micro-atx or not. Hope it is!

It's actually quite small

Good question on the specs! I don't know, haha! Doesn't bother me really as it will just be a small file server

loving the silver mesh on top, looks like the old chain link armour stuff they wore in the olden days from a few pictures.

are you going to window mod it or have orange lighting from under neither ??

Window mod - Well you'd be just staring at a harddrive or dvd-rom!! You can't really see inside the case. But put some orange leds though

haha. just looked closer at the case and i see what you mean. is there now way of getting a raptor X and having that show thru on the side or something funky?
