Project Cool 'n' Quiet is; This afternoon I have replaced my Thermaltake Soprano case fans, replaced the stock HS/F a memory cooler and finally decent a fan controller to keep the fans at a minimum when at night.
On to the parts...
Thermalright Ultra-120
OCZ XTC Cooler Ram Cooler
X3 Akasa 120mm Ultra Quiet Fans
Akasa Fan Control Pro
Total cost £105
Before Shots,
CPU temperature at Idle,
Took me 3 solid Hrs to get all the parts installed and to cable tidy
Anyway here are the finished shots,
Over all very impressed with the temperature drop but more impressed with the quietness! just need to sort the HDD's out next they seem to be the loudest.
Temperatures after,
Idle,
Load,
Now I need to clock the system, which is a job for tomorrow afternoon

same with me (apart from the case mods for my project) the hdds are going to be silienced, how you planning to quiet yours ?
They are quite by all means but as I want a virtually silent system so they don't meet my needs I know I could connect them to the controller but it’s just as easier to get rid
