Sound insulation: Foam Silencing Kit for Corsair 600T Cases

Parts fitted to test it POSTs along with the sound insulation and Hydro cooler. The insulation was fitted by Overclockers but I had to modify it to fit the fans in the roof of the case, the rad and cut out a space for the PSU as it was blocking the grill in the rear of the case.

Still to do:
1. Install SSD and Windows
2. Cable tidy back of case - it's a mess !
3. Lap CPU and cooler and use some decent thermal compound as I'm currently using the stuff supplied with the cooler.

Still need to lap the waterblock and cpu but it's running fairly cool, however the 2 Corsair fans are pretty loud even with them turned down using the cases fan switch. I'm currently running on only one fan, but i'm more than likely going to replace them with something quieter.

I did wonder how you could call this Quiet with a H100 fitted. Anyway you have to find a balance between quiet and performance. Are you prepared to have higher temperatures to drop the noise?

What about a couple of PWM fans that can be controlled by your motherboard, connected with a PWM splitter. There are a few available that can go right down to 500-600RPM, which is pretty quiet. If you want your rig quiet even when under full CPU load you should look at fans less than 1500rpm in speed. At full speed they'll still be obnoxiously loud but if you have it set right you'll only go that fast under extreme circumstances.

I used to work for an ocuk competitor building computers and servers years ago and they were pretty strict on cable management. It's a case of working out where the cables go and finding a common area to create the trunking then hold them in place with cable ties and sticky cable tie bases.
