Here is the case in all its glory!

The power supply unit is positioned with the fan pointing towards the rear and the air exhaust directed upwards out of the case

The motherboard is installed in the 90* position. This means the rear panel I/O and expansion ports for the motherboard are on top of the case.
There are 3 giant 180mm fans which should help keep the components nice and cool!

The front of the Raven 2 looks like a stealth vehicle

On rear side there is only a small hatch with a dust filter for the power supply unit.

I like the fact you can remove the dust filters to clean them as often as you like!

Can't wait to see this unfold, I've not actually seen a build log (here or anywhere) using this case, which always intrigued me as to it's layout.

Unsure if I like the styling (it's a bit pro-gamer and over-plasticated for my tastes), but I'll be interested to see what it does for temperature hot-spots and airflow, and the actual internal quality of the case does look good!

What are the differences between this and Fortress 2 - aside from Aluminum/Steel/Plastic construction.

Fortress 2 has 5 X 3.5" quick release hard drive slots.

I understand what you're saying but I've built three previous rigs which had the traditional brushed aluminium casing. I fancied a change and something a bit more radical.

Like Paradigm said, dont think Ive seen a build using this case so will be keeping an eye on it. You got all the parts already or they on order?

It's been 3 months and I finally have an update!

This weekend I got the SSD and a graphics card. I was waiting to see what the fermi would be like. As I wasn't impressed with the results of the fermi I decided to go with the fast but cool Sapphire 5870 Vapor X. The graphics card is very quiet indeed. My old 275 GTX sounds much louder at both idle and load. I can run BFBC2 at 1920 on high with everything turned up to the max.

For the SSD I went with a Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB. This is my first SSD and I must say I am very impressed with it. Windows boots extremely fast and the OS is a lot snappier. The annoying startup whirrrr of the mechanical drive is now a distant memory. The whole system is much quieter.

I'm hoping to have everything in the case by the end of April.

Thanks for the kind words. I hope to have another update very soon. I'm really looking forward to putting everything inside the case. I had a vision of how I wanted my new rig to look and soon it will be realised.
