Well i got bored of my net book and decided i wanted another PC.
And luckily i seen a nice little A05b on the MM which i bought and had tom powdercoat black :)

The idea behind this case is a black and red theme, I know a lot of people have done this but i really like the colour combo. Plus its a good excuse to buy a EVGA Classified or SLI LE to match the build :P

Anyway heres a few pics of my case so far.

Not done to much as i need to order some more stuff and i have more WC gear on route.

I started by replacing every possible bolt i could with one of these lovley black M3 cap screws. So far there in my:
PCI covers
Side pannels
Psu Plug
Radiator(M4)

Keeping with the black theme i got my self a black aluminium dust filter and four black fan screws to go with my slim yate loon 1350RPM fan.

Still needs 4 capscrews. Not sure what to do with this though. Could leave it like that or put a radgrill on it, i just think radgrills are a tad overused. any other ideas/Opinions?

Got this idea from one of the murdermod builds. The tubing here is just black XSPC stuff for test but i think if i go for red tubing it would show through a bit and could look cool.

And how it sits just now, still got lots to do before i even think of the hardware.

Looks like its gonna be pretty good! I was thinking about braiding my tubing, it looks pretty cool but didnt in the end, I'd only bought a tiny bit of braid to maybe do some power cables but didnt use it, its lying around my room somewhere to small to do anything with at all lol

Always love watercooled builds in A05's though, its amazing how much stuff people can fit in them :)

Good luck with the build

Cheers dude yeah depends on the colour scheme i think wether or not the braid is a hit or a miss.

im going to go for red cable braid and black braid on the tubing

Got a few things done today.
Got a bit of braiding done
finished my window
installed the pump and some tubing
replaced a few screws for the lovley cap screws im using in this build.
anyway onto the pics :)

Few braid shots.

sorry about all the dust etc on the case but its a WIP and i aint cleaning it for everyphoto it ill be cleaned at the end.
im also going to try and get my dads D80 to get some good pics instead of my Nikon P6000

I like the contrast of the red braiding on the black, I hope the rest of the parts all match nicely!

PK!

cheers dude i think im getting the x58 sli le mobo as its mainly black with hints of red
where as the foxconn bloodrage has to much red in it

Well interloper over on bit tech did me a few fangrill designs
so heres a few pics he did

I think it looks great and is really diffrent with it being bigger and overlapping the normal fangrill size.

only thing i might do is make it all out of 1 piece of material instead of 2

small update
got the cad drawings for the fan grill design done and did a quick cut out on plain paper to check the size etc

photos dont do it any justice though.

anyway the idea is 2mm alu on the bottom and 3mm red tint plexi for the top then some black mesh behind the lot

sorry about the lack of updates but ive been proper busy recently :crying:

That grill would look amazing!! Said it might be better with somthing on the top but wasnt expecting somthing that smart haha. Good luck getting it made up, should look great if it works out right :)

thanks ill be getting it laser cut so it should look good and have a perfect edge

would you mind me asking how much you were quoted to get it laser cut? wanting a similar thing myself you see, and have no idea how much id be expecting to pay for it.

originaly i got quoted 35 to machince the top and bottom out of 3mm alu
paint it black and provide black mesh and all mounting bolts

but i think it will be cheaper now as im using red plexi
