Well the 138k Mortgage has been accepted meaning I have 11k to spend on repairs and other stuff. I've lived there 3 years already, sharing the mortgage with another guy, buying him out so this should be fun :)

Its a 3 bedroom flat, large front room and Kitchen.

I will be undertaking these jobs.

New floor in every room
New Bathroom suite
90% of the walls replastered
Painting all walls
Tiling the Kitchen and Bathroom
Hanging 5 new doors
Changing Every light fixing
New 6 hob cooker
New sofa
New Fridge
Changing Cabinet doors in Kitchen
Possible adding some Network points about

I've missed loads out because this is a massive job - the flat is a mess, I plan to turn it into a palace.

The labour is very cheap so that’s good.

Anyway, this is just going to be a project diary, I will add some pictures when I get home tomorrow so you can see the mess its in.

Does anyone have any simple design idea sites?

Its going to be good fun. I'm lucky that a couple of my friends are builders and quite willing to work there free time for mates rates so it should be quite cheap. I really can't wait for completion.

It has wooden floorboards at the moment. The idea at first was to sand and varnish them to bring them back to new. The problem is though they are so old there are large gaps between them, a lot of them are bent and so on. I was thinking about just getting some new wooden floorboards and shoving them over the top. We have very high celings so its not as if I'll be shrinking the room. Obviously it will be a fair bit of work making sure it lays nicely.
