Hi There! Second build log here, I'm an Italian modder who's moving in Birmingham (UK), this is not my first mod, some of you may already know me, for the others here some of my previous projects:

2013/2014 Project Clean White Obsidian

2015 Project Prime

2015 Project NanoXia COMPUTEX 2015 (In cooperation with other EU modders)

2015 Project Modern Orange

The build will include a full watercooling custom loop, and some paint/wrap job. The point was to create a small powerful build (my first after years of full towers) to bring with me in UK when i moving in. I planned to use 2x 240mm radiators, one on top and one on front, both graphic card and cpu watercooled. The project started some weeks ago, i already posted some update which i report on this build log.

This is a first concept of the build

28/04/2015 Update 2 - Hardware unboxing and testing

Today i had time to open some boxes. Plextor sent me an SSD M6e M.2 for this build, it works with PlexTurbo 2.0 technology. Plexturbo is an intelligent SSD RAM caching solution using system RAM to accellerate Plextor SSD performance beyon limitations. Thank Plextor for this sample. Here some pictures and informations.

PlexTurbo Technology

PlexTurbo 2.0 has three main advantages;
Performance Boost
The SSD uses 1/4 of the DRAM of the system (max 4GB) as cache. The Intelligent Boost Engine® (IBE) technology, automatically detects hot data (frequently accessed) and cold data (occasionally accessed) and applies the best caching patterns for higher performance.

Safe Power Lost
The information is written simultaneously in the cache of the system as well as the SSD, in case of a power interruption or system crash, data loss will be minimized.

Life Extension Mechanism
The SSD reduces unnecessary rewriting of redundant data by using smart algorithms, in other words, instead of overwriting an entire file, the existing data is compared and unnecessary writes are avoided, increasing the life of the SSD.

Yesterday i received the motherboard too, an ASUS Z97 MAXIMUS IMPACT VII

AVEXIR sent me a BLITZ 1.1 2x4gb RAM Kit for this build. The LEDs are awesome, i will make a video soon.

Thanks guys! Another piece for my build, this time is an amazing white psu from Seasonic! The Snow Silent 1050W 80plus Platinum, the best white psu on the marked made by the best PSU brand in the world. Thanks to my friends over Seasonic for the support for this build too!

Slick looking build, I finally decided my new build will be itx, so I've just bought this case today! really can't wait to get it started over the next couple of months, the question is will I hold out till skylake or will I cave in and go with z97?! I'd love to know if you will be replacing the 200mm fan as I will be doing with two silent as possible 120/140 mm fans. I seen online though somebody struggled fitting be quiet 140mm fans at the front and had to drill new holes which concerns me as these are the fans I wanted to use

yes i will replace the 200m fan with a 240mm radiator ;)

Here we go with another update, i know you are probably tired of unboxing pics so this time i will show some modding too! I worked on the exterior of the case, inspired by a racing car i used some decals to try to reach the result. I liked the idea of showing the sponsor and partners on a side just like a racing car, next and last step will be the water cooling loop, stay tuned for the next week!

This is something like 100 fittings, I will show some better pictures of the VGA block and fittings the next week. Both CPU and VGA blocks have LEDs with different colours: WHITE/BLUE/RED/GREEN and they looks amazing!

See you at the next update!

I'm finally settled in UK and had time to finish my build. Added an Aquaero 5 LT on the back as last step, here some pictures of the final result, more will comes in the next days!

Thanks to all my Sponsors and Partners!
