Project IGI in Win 7

I know, I know old game, why am i bothering???

I enjoy it, what else can i say.

Problem is that before i get to the game menu i get an error box.

Says:

Couldn't Flip.
DirectX error

Any one know how to fix this.

Direct X is upto date and have tried compatibility mode XP service pack 2

Forgot to mention that i'm running Win 7 Home Premium 64bit

When you say DirectX is up to date do you mean you've installed recent redistributables?

Yes, downloaded this and ran it to update

Error reads

Fatal Error
Couldn't Flip
Direct X unknown error

Tried Win 98 compatibility mode and won't even load the program.

Cant help you with your problem. But as soon as I saw project IGI it brought back great memories, loved that game. Makes me want to play it now.

Plays fine - no errors.

Terrible game though !

Running Win 7 HP x64 as well.

Thanks to the OP i have just dug out my disk and installed this - works perfectly with W7 - something that could not be said for my old 8800GTX and win XP.

just completed the first mission on my first try not that I'm showing off lol

God I remember testing my brand new Geforce 2 GTS 32MB out on this game coming from an nVidia TNT M64 32MB. ahh the memories.
