So yeah black Friday came around and I basically couldn't help myself.
Some specs then the plan!:
CPU: 4790K i7 Devils' Canyon @ 4.0GHz (not that that will last)
Mobo: Gigabyte SOC Force Z97X
Ram: 4x4 GB Team Elite Vulcan 2133MHz (16gb total)
GPU: 2x Zotac 780ti 3gb GHz edition
PSU: 850W Super Flower Gold
SSD: Samsung EVO 240gb
HDD: WD Green 3TB
Case: Corsair 750D - With custom front panel, PSU cover and Rad grills
The cooling:
Pump: D5
Rads: 240 black ice GTX, 360 black ice GTX
Fans: Alpenfohn wing boosts 2 (orange duh)
Fittings: all Bitspower Carbon blacks
Parts arrived:
A quick test to make sure it was all alive!
Get the case naked to try out my design for the PSU tunnel... too many hexagons at the moment!
Installing the res needed some creative mounting efforts...
You will notice my assistant "theboyriley" who was the creator of the SR-2 Desk in another project log. The aluminum component had to be drilled and cut into the cable grommet to accomodate the primochill compression res...
In all its' glory:
You'll notice the CPU block is also installed. I'm using frosted blocks along with the res and some nice pastel liquid (orange) Unfortunately the EK block came with some rather strange defects:
The blackplate was all sorts of shapes!
And then to follow a whole box of carbon fittings!
Taster of the next update - Matte black mmmm....
More to follow!
