Project:- Liquid Skeleton

can't believe that I wasn't subbed to this thread

one thing I have to say g-dubs, put the 8pin power underneath the motherboard to clean up some cable management :p

My aim was to make a eature of the cabling in the same way as making a feature of the tubing. In a case such as this where it's very hard to hide the major cables I thought i'd class it as a stregth of the case and bring them to the fore, hence the use of the contrasting colour anti kink coils.

One thing I did do though was hide all the front panel cables, which as you know, ain't easy

What pump/res is that and what is the yellow thing its situated on? Thanks :D

It's a DDC 18W model the res is an EK pump top res combo I think. Hard to remember it's been a while since I did it.

yellow and black looks very nice, the watercooling is amazing

Many thanks my friend.

The whole lot is probably going to be sold pretty soon, as i'll be needing to fund the watercooling for the Modzart which will then end up as my new desktop.

Be sad to see it go but things move on don't they.

They're hooked up to a variety of different colour internal CCFLs including UV. I built the custom switch box as part of the initial Skeleton build which is still on the forum somewhere. It's made from and old CD drive with the internals removed and a front panel fabricate to house the switches I chose. In this case simple toggles with Military style covers. The CD drive case also serves to house the CCFL inverters, which helps keep things neat and tidy.

Still one of my all time favorite mods dubs :D

Cheers 23RO. That's an accolade coming from yourself. Many thanks

Do you still own this build? What are the temps etc?

I do indeed, although it's currently in the process of being retired and replaced by my latest project "NZXSPC"

Temps have always been really good oweing to the open frame nature and the lack of a need to have a traditional through case airflow.

Don't know what i'm going to do with it when it's retired. maybe sell it, maybe keep for old times sake, maybe mod it again, who know's

I'm open to suggestions.

Meanwhile, a litle peak of NZXSPC

The project used a Gunmetal limited edition of the NZXT Phantom 410 case with predominantly XSPC watercooling components inside.

The Motherboard is a G-Dubs Custom all black edition of the MSI Z77 GD55A

I can see another good project coming. The project before i wouldnt sell it, keep it or mod it.

This ones already done, and yeah maybe I will just keep the skelly

"The Motherboard is a G-Dubs Custom all black edition of the MSI Z77 GD55A" How did you manage to get a all black one?

Would love to have a wind up, but see answer below

Did you hand paint your motherboard G-Dubs? if so what paint did you use ? :P

Yup. The full build log is over at OC3D

Shiny. I like shiny stuff. :)

Looks like a nice build there mate.

Liking the LED behind the waterblock too.

Chers Tealc. the LED was a mod of the original blue LED that comes with the kit.

Shiny wise,I treated myself to some Bitspower shining silver. I've used other fittings before but I've been spoiled now

I had a good teacher for LEDs and stuff of that ilk remember :)
