Does this build look OK?

Hoping the Mobo will be in stock soon, or I'll have to get elsewhere for that as I need this built this week as I'm without a PC! Any thoughts on the hardware and any suggestions for improvements and/or tweaks i.e Heatsink

EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (02G-P4-2678-KR) £329.99

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) - Retail £179.99

OCZ Vertex 3 240GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (VTX3-25SAT3-240G) £169.99

ASRock Z77E-ITX Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard £123.98

Cooler Master Silent Pro Modular 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £65.99

BitFenix Prodigy Mini-ITX Cube Case - Midnight Black £59.99

Corsair Vengeance Blue Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CML8GX3M2A1600C9B) £44.99

This comes in just shy of £1000, which is around my ceiling for this project (To be fair, I'm overspending but want longetivity!

I think this should be able to handle BF3 on Ultra at a decent framerate - What are your thoughts?

with that mobo, you're gonna have to go with a CLC for aftermarket cooling
why not vertex 4 or sammy 830, they're the same-ish price as the vertex 3 at the moment no?
no hdd?
need an optical drive?

Thanks Tamzzy

What's the CLC cooler - can you link me?

I didn't see the other SSDs to be fair, would you recommend them over the OCZ?

Also - I have a BD Drive and several WD Black/ Barracuda drives laying around!

is the KFA 670 any good though? I've read lots of good things about the EVGA and it running nice and cool as well as pretty quiet. I suppose the bundle is looking more tempting now I'm above £1k, as that will take out the hassle of building it.

What are your thoughts?

Titan Prodigy X" Intel Core i5 3570K 3.40GHz @ 4.00GHz DDR3 Mini ITX LAN System
With the KFA GTX 670 you mentioned.

£1113.23 inc VAT
£927.69 ex VAT

Might phone them to see if they will do the bundle without the BD drive and the 1TB drive. Do OcUK do such things?

Thanks Tamzzy - I agree with you about the build overall - but if they allowed me to remove the BD Drive and the HDD it would be ideal. It's worth an ask, but I doubt it.

Thanks for the help! Just hope the Mobo comes in stock this week!

If you get the Asus P8Z77-I, you won't have to.

Just another option.

Thanks Doomedspeed for your input. More idea's the better.

So if I went for the latter mobo, which is £30 more, would I still need the watercooler or will stock one tide me over till next month's pay? :P

I might drop the SSD down to a 120GB for this month too and look at a larger SSD in August.

Thanks Tamzzy - glad I've got your help! I thought i saw a video with Corsair Vegence in the case working fine - but it had that ridiculously tall heatsink on it. I guess the stock clearence around the side isn't good enough however.

id get shorter ram incase u decide to go air cooling
and the black case looks better if u ever put a dvd in (not saying u shuld :p)

the stock heatsink will fit fine with any ram, but if you're intending to get aftermarket heatsinks later, they wont fit if the ram is too tall

I'll be going for the black one. Fits in with all my gear that little bit better. I can see the appeal of the white one though! Would be handy to see build pics of one on here already! Whats taking so long, it's been out a few weeks!! :P

Again, cheers for the help lads. Any more thoughts and ideas, please do share. Been out of the building scene for quite a while. Last rig I built was a £3k monster 4 years ago, so I am a bit out of touch as I've been an Apple Engineer since then - and all of their stuff is disposable or sealed units now! :P
