Ah Christmas, gotta love it, which means I finally have (near enough) everything I need to sort out my new(ish) system. And I have named her after one of my favourite Japanese characters "Makino" from Hana Yori Dango.

I wanted to go with the Bit Fenix Shinboi Windowed case which I have been looking for a few months. I am a bit fan of blue led fans so I have added in a few of these and a nice little akasa fan controller.

The plan:

  • Sort out the messy cabling
  • Add in Bit Fenix Spectre LED Fans
  • Add in an Akasa Fan Controller
  • Make the inside as clean as possible
  • Make the inside as blue as possible

I know it isn't much, but this is my first proper attempt at a clean cut gaming system.

I still have some updates to come i.e. new 6870/GTX560 GPU coming in February/March time and a Phenom X6 1100T sometime during the year too, but this is what I have at the moment.

Cooling: Arctic Freezer Pro 7 Rev. 2

Storage: 500gb/160gb Sata II - 300gb IDE
PSU: Ezcool Infinity 700W

Peripherals:

Monitor: 19" LG Widescreen
Mouse: Roccat Kova +
Keyboard: Cyborg V7
Speakers: Generic 5.1 Surround Sound (Soon to be Corsair SP2200)
Controller: Wired XBOX360 (Treyarch) Precision Aim Black Ops

I have a nice proper camera, but a ****** case with no cable management. I think I'll make the shots come out ****** too. :D
 
lmao... i ain't got a camera so had to use my phone unfortunately... this is a fail!!! My system just crashed... hard drive died. Just did a low level format, fixed it and just finished installing windows 7 again... NOT GOOD lol

my cable management ain't that bad is it??? lol

unfortunately yes, IDE!

was planning to get another hdd but with prices going through the roof thanks to the floods over there, I am stuck with the ide drive.

i only use it for back up, so music, photos and vids... no games or software on it
 
Haha I got all nostalgic when I saw the IDE ribbon cable :p

I'm planning on getting this case and I thought of putting one or two cathodes at the front so the light sort of lightly beams out from the two vents. Do you think that would work?

Also, the fan controller looks the nuts, it really does look awesome! Nice work :)

yea i think it would work, it is what i am planning on getting at the end of the month when i get paid from work... christmas took it out on my pay check last month!

i think one cathode would do it but I would get the Blue Cathode Twin Pack with two 10cm cathodes in it for around £7.

and yea the fan controller is freakin' awesome. got it for £14 from the MM last week!
