Project Man Cave / Games Room.

terrible lighting and terrible camera skills but some fallout is up:

I need to work out the shelving, do I want the fallout images on that wall in a line or something different like staggered with some shelves? or I can go with shelves to the left and right of the monitor... not sure.

That looks great - I love that deep blue colour.

Can I make one suggestion/criticism?
It's a very simple one. The Fallout artworks....I'd move them down a bit. They look like they are hanging very high on that wall, and it looks a bit unnatural, and makes the ceiling look lower than it is. They also seem a bit close to the wall on the right hand side.
I'd move them down a tad and also group them closer in two rows (like how they are laid out in the first post) and I think that would look better.

I don't disagree, i'm not convinced I like them how they are. I was going to see how they look when I have the shelves up to the left and right of the monitor but I dont think they will stay as they are.

Yep should never hang anything that high up on the wall.

I agree I think the 2 rows like in your mock layout, centrally above the desk could work.

The ceiling out there is really low anyway but none the less I just went out and dropped them down around 4 inches or so for now but im pretty sure they are not staying like this either. I think you guys are right with the two rows im just not sure where that would leave room for a couple of shelves i want back there as well.

I want shelves for a couple of games I have, some fallout bobble heads, couple of bits of lego you know that sort of stuff. im going to get on the shelving over the next few days.

edit: So ive been working in there all night and its just a much nicer place to be. All the time I was in there I had one visitor or another, for most of the night Mr MaCatMa Ghandi, "G" or "Mr G" or "Ghand" was taking center stage:

And when he wasn't about Tabby, his little sister was.

Man cave update. This is still taking a while as even though it's project man cave all furniture, shelve and other furnishing appears to have to go through mrs approval and this is slowing proceedings down somewhat:

New ornament for my setup to go alongside the PCB's and other cpu's etc I plan on displaying (This is a working chip I was given)...

So that means I should now have the whole range to display, a ryzen, a TR and also now an EPYC... question... anybody know anybody or where I might be able to either get some stands 3d printed or perhaps made out or plexi or something?

It might be best to draw some designs up of what you are thinking.

I'd probably look at some box picture frames, mount some cork in there to push the pins in to hold it steady then you can surround the CPU with coloured card or a design of some kind.

You know that is not at all a bad idea, its LGA as is TR so no pins but still an awesome idea. A frame with them all in "From the desktop to the DC" I like that! To be fair it is only a 7261 so nothing that special. Still a cool ornament.

Something like this surely :p

Looking slick in there. Definitely giving off man cave vibes.

Possible suggestion: flip the door around so it opens the other way and then get a bit of worktop to make a desk the full width of the room?

Not a bad idea that. that desk does pretty much fit the full width but I'm not a fan of having it along that back wall. My old desk was there for ages and it wasn't giving me good time vibes.

I did something similar with an ikea worktop and it looks pretty slick and it's solid. Plus you can fix it at a height you want rather than being dictated by desk manufacturers!

I have some plans for that back wall in terms of storage? We shall see where progress takes us. Can always move it around

I like it and the new arrangements for the Fallout pictures are very nice, looks a lot better how it is now. Nice choice on desk, i remember looking for ages to find a good sized one in the stlye i wanted for a reasonable price, mine is also 1800mm wide and i got a matching desk high pedestal to put the tower on next to it. The extra space, once you have it, you can never go back!

Also a lot of desks i see sold are not very deep, that looks 80cm deep, is it?

is it exclusively blue ? or ambilight ... doesn't that impact your sleep, or thats the 24/7 life of a gamer ;)
personally even experimented with lower blue/green oriented dektops, and 'blue' glasses

... nice desk - good depth.

This is just my downstairs office, so nothing to get in the way of sleep or anything. The room as it stands has two blue walls and one grey, one is still white at the moment and im really not sure what to do with that yet, when I do more down the other side of the room I will need to decide.

It is indeed 80 deep. Honestly it's made working from home or generally working at the desk so much better. love it! Some more updates to come, I have a new table, storage is coming at the weekend and also I have some chairs and other stuff on the way. Should look good :)
