4 hour drive later i was home and this was the start of my first ever gaming pc

the gf was not happy when she walked in :D.

the building began here are a few pics from start to finish. I didnt do many as i wasnt expecting to write a log or even enjoy it as much as i did.

h80i fitted

flicked the power and everything lit up which i was pleased about...cables everywhere as i didnt bother with cable management just incase i wired it up wrong hand had to take it all out again :P

and here she is set up to my samsung smart :D i know people have said that the graphics wont be as good but to be honest its my first gaming pc and it look and plays a hell of a lot better than my xbox ...which is now a wedge to keep my door open ;D.

so anyway that was my first problem free build but it wasnt enough ...i started looking on here every day at other peoples custom work and really fancied giving it a go... so instead of traveling all the way back i thought i would just order from the website as i was fairly confident in what i wanted.... this is what i ordered

i went for the xigmatek case as it was a nice size for what i wanted plus it stripped down fairly easy. the order went in the weekend and i forgot it was bank holiday so it didnt turn up till today.

first job even tho i was a little nervous was stripping the case (hope it goes back together the same way) here is how i got on.

all the hdd clips removed

all the usb ports, reset switch, sata cable, and every other wire known to man removed.

and now shes all ready for powder coating :D hopefully she comes out as nice as i picture it in my head :D

everything seems to run so nice on the screen so i dont think its made a difference :). anyway more pics once the case is back from powdercoating. also had more goodies turn up today :D

all my waterblocks have turned up apart from the memory block now im rather excited. all these boxes of goodies i just want this case to hurry up and get powder coated now :D.

thankyou mate :D its sure is a learning curve im really enjoying it. just waiting on these plastics to dry so i can get them put on the case and re wire the front panel which will be interesting :S

heya guys just a quick update as i dont get a lot done during the week as i work nights but i have managed to get the fan mesh sprayed up and i must say i think the dark blue complements the blue case well :D

well thats it for now but hopefully i will get lots done this weekend :D

update time :D got quite abit done this week which is rare in the week as i work nights so normaly the only time i can get stuff done is the weekend but here is my weeks work :D

action shot :P

and i also got my waterblock and pump naked for something a lil special ;)

well thats it for now guys hopefully i will get the plastics and the waterblock covers finished over next week and then i can start putting the case back together :D

the case may not be the best looking but she is so easy to work with so far not that i have used any cases before lol. so much space though and hopefully once all my other parts are dry and fitted she will also look abit better :)
