Decided to do a small project with some bits I had lying around, and a case (Lian Li PC-A06)that I impluse bought on the MM last week.

Spec will be Q6600, 8GB DDR3, Intel DX38BT mobo, Radeon 5770 and 3x 400GB HDDs in RAID5.

The colour scheme for this will be black and orange, and most importantly, orange coolant in the custom W/C loop (hence the project name). The loop is made up of:

EK Supreme LTX CPU Waterblock - Nickel Acetal
XSPC EX240 120mm Radiator - Black
EK DCP 4.0 Pump (12v)
Phobya 5,25" Single Bay Reservoir Black - I wanted the XSPC but it's out of stock
XSPC High-Flex hose
XSPC compression fittings and angled connectors

It's a pretty small case for a W/C setup, and there is certainly nowhere for a rad to go "out of the box", there is also precious little real estate with which to mount the pump.

I've forgotten to take the "before" shots, but I need to pull it apart to cut the holes for the radiator intake, so will take the "before" shots in a few days, but here are a few "trial run" shots of the layout (can't finish the loop yet as I haven't got enough fittings yet, waiting on a couple of angled connectors).

The case internals are also going to be sprayed orange when I pull it apart for the modding of the radiator intakes.

So today I've ordered the mesh for the new cutouts where the rad intakes go. Some orange braid, and the final pieces of the watercooling setup.

I've also got the paint ready to do the internals.

Bit of an update, half-way there now.

Still needs replacement orange LEDs for the blue that the case came with, so will need to do a bit of soldering to make up a couple of LED strips for the front panel. I still need to paint the fans (and replace the rear 80mm with a fractal), and I'm swapping the HD3870 that's currently in the machine for a GTX460 once it arrives (but can do that with the loop in situ, due to it using the same block.

It's a bit of a tight fit on the radiator though, literally 1mm from the PSU, there is no room for anything else in the case :D

Anyway, pics.
