So, its been way to long to continue the old thread (project OVERLOADED part 2) I thought I would start a new thread, before hand I was running on a very dodgy ace 650W PSU and the onboard graphics of a gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H, I was getting bored of the slow lane.

The reason that I haven't been online or posting is because I moved house 4 months ago and since then I have been busy with college, but now im back and all setup.

The new setup at the new house ROCKS!

I decided to splash a little bit of cash and go for something a little bit better :D I decided to pick up a Powercolor HD 6950 2GB card, I have to say that even tho its a little bit old it really does hold its value, standard clock of 800 MHz and an amazing memory clock of 1250 MHz, I decided to go crazy and overclock the card to a awesome 950 MHz and a memory clock of 1350 MHz, the card runs at a nice temperature of 72.C when running the card on full and yes it does make my room 15.C hotter :D hahaha.

If you look closely then you will notice the next addition that should hopefully be coming soon :D

Next in line was the PSU, I needed something that would hold anything that I threw at it, so I decided to go for......... a OCZ 1250W PSU, yes I know, way overkill but hey :) I can upgrade until the day runs out and I will still have plenty of power left over, the PSU is fully modular so it looks awesome, however, I WILL be getting all of the cables professionally sleeved white, the best thing is that when I bought the PSU it came with two sets of cables, AWESOME!! so if I ever want to sell it I can choose whats what and that's about it :D

Finally, I decided to get a new fan controller because the previous one was having voltage problems, I decided to get a Zalman ZM-MFC2, its amazing, it beeps when a fan stops, it tells you 4 different temperatures, over all It really does work :D

That's about it for now, im hoping to get duel water pump system soon and another radiator, but hey, who knows, that's it for now folks :)

Cheers

Jake

I've gotta say that's a great looking setup that mate :) and I'm loving the case lighting, it really shows off your components nicely.

I dunno if I'm talking total rubbish here (so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), but I always thought the top PCI/E slot was the 16x one and you should always plug your primary/first Graphics Card into that one. Then if you add additional cards for SLI or XFire, you put them into the slot you currently have your graphics card in...

Hey there DJ_Bucho, yes I did think the same so I tried it and there was no difference what so ever, if anything it was slower, I should hopefully be picking up another powercolor HD 6950 very soon, so crossfireX is in near sight.
I also love the lights, Im trying to go only black and white :D

cheers

Jake

Yeah, im going to make sure that I water cool both powercolor HD 6950's, I did read how to unlock the shaders to get the card to 6970, to be honest, theres really not that much difference in crossfire, so im just going to stick with the standard mode and overclock that, before I can do a any of this however, I need to get another powercolor HD 6950 :D

cheers
