Aim is to reduce the noise, nothing else, sick of the howl of air cooling and the machine is currently a storage hub for the rest of the house so doesn't get turned off often.

Those of you with a weak stomach might want to look away.

Few pics...

Not pretty (or finished), but it does the job of keeping the noise down.

All parts are "pre-loved", even the case (got it when i sold an old couple a machine a couple of years ago, i took their old rig in px), it's got a useful window in the top, which came out and makes a nice location for the 3x120 rad.

Still need to get a block for the southbridge (might just get a huge air block for it, i've still got a couple of 80mm fans in the front to cool the drives and the airflow should take care of it).
Also need a vga block for my 4850 (doesn't make that much power, but i notice the noise if i stop the fan spinning.

Plans include a two loops, cpu & mosfet block to the 3x120 rad, maybe going passive unless gaming (cpu hovers around 55c passive with everything on this loop), although i can't hear the akasa fans over the drives, so running them on low is another option. 2nd loop would be NB, vga (maybe the mosfat too, keep the cpu on it's own loop) and feed them to a 2x120 mounted vertically on the back of the case, again either passive (which i doubt will work so well due to the alignment) or a pair of fans on low.

Current pump is some cheapo pump&res unit i picked up from MM last year for £15, no idea of what make/modal/power it is (same goes for most of the kit, since the MM got chopped about most of the older threads were pruned and i can't get any info)
Other pump (for cpu loop) is an eheim hpps-i, only 6w but with just one (or maybe 2) thing(s) in the loop it should do ok.

Currently the blocks are all EK stuff (got lucky on another wc forum and found a guy who who was selling all his wc bits off and got blocks, hose, clamps barbs, drain fittings, etc, etc, in one job lot for about 50 quid :)), BUT i've got a swiftech drive series combo block/pump that i'm thinking about putting back on, BUT i'm torn due to the tiny 8mm pipe work it runs due to the moulded fittings.

I occasionally look at other FS threads, but my son is arriving at the end of september so casually mentioning the importance of buying another part doesn't go down so well, so parts get bought when other parts get sold ;)

Yes, it's at stock speeds but i'm going for noise (fans are on slowest speed right now), then a bit of power (probably wait till the cpu is separated before i wind it up again), then i can look at the drive noise......

Not a clue :)

Build quality isn't too bad for what looks like a £25 case, most of the edges are folded, just little things like only haveing screw holes in the top row for the optical drive (meaning i can't secure the res) and having a top mounted psu that let it down.
