Hey there peeps, so i have just finished building my new gaming rig, i made another thread on it - "Clicky Clicky"
Well, now that i have the system up and running with out any problems, im finally going water cooled, i have spent a crazy amount of time researching what to use, where to get it from etc......, i have chosen to go the EK route due to the fact that they look like they have the best products, here is the list of things that i am going to be using:

First off is the Pump and the reservoir, i have choosen to go for a 2.2 combo:

combo.jpg

pump.jpg

I will also be using a EK plate to keep these together:

plate.jpg

Next is the CPU block that i will be using, its the HF waterblock for the 1155 socket:

cpu.jpg

Next is the radiators that i am going to be using, i will be using one EK coolstream 120mm radiator and also one EK coolstream 240mm radiator:

duelrad.jpg

I will be using EK barb fittings, i might change over to EK compression fittings, but for now i want to get the system up and running:

I already had some blue tubing that was given to me by a freind not to long ago so i will be using that until i want to change it, i still really want to keep my word about the black and white theme, but for now im in the testing phase:

tube.jpg

Finally, i wanted to get some black fans to go with the EK radiator that would look good, so i got two EK 120mm fans:

i also have some anti - kink wire, but i dont know if im going to use it yet:

Thats all until i have some spair time on my hands

cheers folks!

Hey there guys, so I have finally got my main parts for the water cooling, here is what i have so far and what i also have in the case, I still have to get some stuff:

Stuff I need
24 pin braided white extension
5 x 90* copper joints - black - G1/4 thread - 10/13mm
1 x 45* copper joint - black - G1/4 thread - 10/13mm
3.3M - 10 foot of black tubing - 10/13mm
1 litre EK clear liquid (I was going to go for white but it was to expensive )

So thats the list of things that i still have to get, here is the pictures and information on what i already have:

So here is all of the main stuff that I have got:
IMG_0686_zps7c0dd13a.jpg

I have 1 xk 120 radiator:

I had to make sure that the screws that I where using for the 240 rad whernt to long, here is what i did:

IMG_0709_zpsa40c9fe0.jpg

I had to then make sure that the water cooling kit fitted inside my case ok:

I thank you all for your negative comments, i know what im doing due to the fact that i have been researching this for a long time now, I will be getting a new PSU shortly, looking at corsair or NXZT - they are bringing out a new completly modular PSU that looks and works very well, as for the graphics card, im still wondering weather to go for a single or duel setup, two 7950s - 7970s, or one single - I have been looking at this for a while - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-273-AS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=938

I will mock up an example for the loop that i will be using, i have mesured the angles and i know what is going where and how its going to work.

something else I thank you for your input but I see no reason why i should rush around getting all of these parts, they are going to be done soon, im slowly making my way up with this machine, as for the voltage, there is nothing to worry about, if somthing goes wrong then i will fix it, thanks for the graphics cards tho.

Ok, so now i dont know what im doing, I sleeved the power supply becouse i didnt want to see different colours, you would know this if you read my other thread of when i got the machine, secondly, you are completly wrong about the pump, i have already tested it and it goes in through the reservoir and out the top, you doubt that i can fix anything, you dont even know me! just becouse of a couple of pictures you think you can judge me, I already know that i have to get a new PSU and graphics card, but yet people keep on saying the same thing, seriously, might aswell call yourself a sheep if you are going to say what another has said, once again the amazing people of overclockers have done it again, I came here to simple show a project that was under way, no one knows what I have planned, what im going to buy, what im going to do, As for "you clearly have to get that pc destroyed" what the hell is that...., totally pathetic, If you dont like what you see then dont comment and go somewhere else, simple, there are plenty of other threads on this forum, also i love the comment of "take it outside and burn it"...... And that would get me where exactly, machinless, great idea...

Ok, i think i know what im going to get, for the PSU I think i might get the OCZ ZX850w, due to the fact that it is fully modular - this means that i can get white cables for it and also it is a very good make.
For the graphics card, I dont know yet, people have given some good examples, I want somthing that can be easily water cooled and also is very good for performance.

Ok then, I have looked at the seasonic PSUs before, they are also really good, I also found out that you can use the corsair cable kits with them, so that would save time instead of braiding, I will look into it, as for the graphics card, i might buy one of OVUK's ready made cards, I might go for one of these - ready made

Monstermoshi, I have been placing the radiators in different places, im going to keep the 240 at the front becouse it does not fit anywhere else in the case, due to the two 120mm EK fans the radiator hits the RAM, so i cannot have the 240 on the roof of the case, as for the 120mm radiator, i have put it at the back of the case as suggested, I have to have the ports at the top becouse when i turned the radiator 180 degrees the ports hit the top of the graphics card slots in the back of the case, I will try and get some pictures, I have also replaced the top 240mm fan with two 120mm fans, i think that the single large fan was not producing enough air flow.

somthing else - I really hoped that I could but the space between the plastic top of my case and the mounting points for the fans is not possible, there is around a centimetre max, I tried to do it, but even with the fins that I have when closed it dosent work, I am going to keep the 240 at the bottom for now, i will look into low profile fans aswell, thanks for the tip tho.

Hey there guys, so its time for another update, been waiting for the rest of my water cooling stuff to arrive, its finally here! woop, I have installed all of the fittings, I am a little anoyed becouse the EK fluid didnt turn up :( but still i have plenty to be playing with, I have also installed the 24 pin white extension, looks amazing :D:D:D

here are the pictures for what i have done so far:

I thought of a clever way for cutting the tube, dug around the draw to find one of my grandads cigar cutters :D more then sharp enough!

Here is the loop that i will be going for:

IMG_0759_zps11e0ed67.jpg

Both the fans that i have on the back radiator are perfect, I understand what you mean, the fans arnt the best so the front one struggles on its own to pull air through, thats why i have the one on the back, it really helps, nice strong flow of cold air, as for the corsair 430w, i would say its ok, to small for what i want to do but you might be doing somthing different.

haha, no im afraid i havent got a new PSU yet, its a long story, Im going to have to blame by old man for this on, So the EC6 coolant came on saturday but i was busy (i was originally going to go for EK but i changed my mind) I thought i would cool it on sunday, so i stripped off the very clean thermalcool CPU cooler, amazed at how clean it was, there was literally no dust, I think its to do with the fan setup in the case, negative pressure etc.... so any way, i plummed all of the tubing in, there will be pics to follow, I then came to add the coolant, I removed my CD drive so i could fit the pipe in for filling into the top of the reservoir, however, i then realised that i had no funnel :( so i was stumped, my dad came home and asked if he could help, mainly becouse i was looking confused, i saw no problem with this, hev told me that we could "shyphen" the fluid into the reservoir, yet again i said ok, we came to do it but the tubing wouldnt fit correctly in the reservoir, so he stopped and put the tip of the tube back in the bottle, so now both ends where in the coolant bottle, he said he was going to make a cup of tea and think about it, i went down to the garrage to see if i had anything i could use, i was looking for a good 3 minuetes max!!! i came back with nothing, first thing i saw was that the bottle was empty, i thought that my dad had found a way to do it, then i noticed that there was no coolant in the system, then i noticed that my pc table was submerged in coolant, i nearly passed out, luckly i had a roll of tissue that soaked most of it up! I have ordered some more coolant that is non conductive and also white to go with the build, also i have baught a 1 litre fill bottle so i dont make any more mistakes, well, thats all for now im afraid, im using my little baby toshiba notebook, 1GB or RAM, lol.........

cheers

cheers for the link but i know how to fill my loop, as for the two fans, i have them pulling air into the case, in a way its good for the hard drives becouse it is pulling cold air from the front fan over the hard drives into the radiator, I have also looked at the way that the air will go from the radiator fans, all is ok so there is no worries for the air in the case, thanks for pointing that out tho.

cheers

james, i will try to make a diagram for where my fans are and what way they are blowing, i can sucsessfully tell you that all the fans are sucking air into the case to create posative air pressure, i can also say that it keeps the case seriously clean, the best thing about white is that you can see all of the dust and fluff, over all, i am amazed with it :)

Hey there, thanks for the tips sayso, I understand what you are saying, on to the build now, I have fully finished the water cooling, I didnt have time to get any pictures of the filling and the leak testing, but im sure we can live without that :D, here are the pictures of the finished build :D :D :D

Thats all for now folks, I know i still need to get a lot of items, but for now, they will have to wait :D

I want to get a fan controller becouse i have succsessfully managed to count 13 fans in the case and i only have 8 changable ports (speed).

cheers!
