I've recently upgraded to a super rig and nice mon and finally have been able to play Project Reality. I have been so impressed. Gunfights feel realistic in a way I don't think is comparable to anything else. Also, people actually work together! I also just think the map design is on a par with some of the best stuff any major studio has ever worked on.

Does anyone else here play this regularly? I really want to jump into a squad with a couple of OcUKers. I have been going on the UK warfare realism server.

Do you have a rampaging hatred of all FPS games or something? I think every online FPS game on the market is about waving your penis boasting about your kills is it not?

Hey, glad to see ya seen the better side of BF2 xP it's not perfect but hey its a step in the right direction :D there are loads of clans out there who play casually and in leagues. i play in a clan =ETU= Elite Tactical Unit (may have seen us about in the servers, we have our own server but unless it gets busy we jump on either Heros or =WST= severs. usually play tues thurs and sundays from about 7pm-10pm or later.

i love playing pr so much more than bf2 basically because like you said, you need to work as a team.

give us a seach on google or just look for us on the servers at those times :) look forward to seeing you on the battlefield

not so much with PR, you can come top just buy working really well as a squard, following orders, making bases to help others and such :D, but yea it still is nice to brag about kills xP
 
PR is indeed great if you enter a good game or squad. But sometimes I find it can take an hour or two to find one or get into the better squads if you have joined half way thru a game.



It was my first mod game and the first time I started to use VOIP. Ive played it for about 18 months I think from 0.7 which was very different and the mod does seem to be improving every time.



I tend to use Tactical gamers server as I get use to the other players on there so I suggest staying with one or two regular servers. Because of this mod I haven’t bought any new games since Crisis as I found I wanted to play PR all the time due to the team work and fun factor. There are a few people I have found take it way too seriously, one guy who sounds Russian just has a go if you don’t do exactly what he orders straight away and you don’t even get a chance to confirm his order. Others who still play well but have a nice comic attitude are fun to be with, always seem to be welsh or from northern England?



I do strongly recommend the mod but only for those who can keep patient as you have to sit about some times defending and not shooting a thing for a long time.
 
Will def try to link up with you fellow PR players. I think what I love so much about it is that it reminds me of WW2online. In that, combat is slow paced and there is a heavy emphasis on supply lines / logistics. I stopped playing it in the end cos of the monthly cost.

I was in a PR game last night on the tactics and teamwork server and had one of the most memorable moments in gaming I can remember. I was sniping from a rooftoop on one of the vast city maps (the one with the docks and the US aircraft carrier) and had spent about 40 mins observing the city, marking targets, and taking the odd shot at an enemy. I then took fire from behind and realised that a single enemy sniper had sneakily set up on a rooftop across from me.

I hit the deck and threw a red smoke grenade at my feet. The smoke lingers in this realistically and therefore after a few seconds the entire rooftop was covered. I then told a helo pilot that there was an enemy sniper north of the red smoke and marked the roof. He flew in hot and nailed the enemy position with rockets and mg fire.

Another chopper then came by and wrongly marked me as the enemy! They then team killed me with their own area attack. They instantly apologised and I think were so annoyed with themselves about it that they just quit the server! I actually didn't mind though because it just felt like something that could have happened in rl lol.
 
Theres a new patch out for this now the Project Reality v0.86 Patch.....
