Hey all,

This is my 1st log as you may tell, this log it basically to sort out the home office.
Iv decided that I need to improve my home office a little better, tidy the room up a little but I don't want to spend a bomb doing so.

List of things to do:
Tidy
New desk
possible rebuild computer(better cable management)
Sort al those lovely cable that we all love. ;)

As I have said I'm going to sort those cable away with cable tidies. what do you think so far any tips are always welcome!

Yep it's ikea. Iv always had a corner desk. And yes at 1st I kinda prefered the old desk but I like to take things as they come that's why I went for the new desk. Iv got cable tides to help sort those cables away. But eventually will get an iMac bit that's in the future for now I'm goin to rebuilt my pc, better cable management and upgrade os hdd to ssd and get new gfx/ram also.

.......but I like to take things as they come that's why I went for the new desk....

I take things as they come pretty much means I accept what I have and make the most of it, which doesn't really hold with going out and buying something new. Kinda contradicting yourself a bit there matey.

FTR I like them both, and wish my place looked that tidy.

What I should have said was that was I only had enough for that desk. Your right I did contractdict myself ooopppssss.

Aha, is that the vika-something or something I cant remember the name, saw it in black when I went to pick up mine the other week and was taken in by its price I think it was around 30 quid or so not bad for the money!

Iv decided I am also going to rebuild my pc, better cable management.

I can vouch for cable management. I finally got round to totally disconnecting and re-organising mine properly earlier this evening, and was rather surprised to see my average CPU idle temperatures drop by three degrees. Cables are more disruptive to airflow than I thought. Incidentally, I also prefer the new desk!

What I did with my desk (Ikea Mikael) is run some screws at the back (underneath) and ziptie the cables to the screws routing them over to one side and out of view - mabe you could do that and also ziptie them to track down one of the back legs to floor level

Velcro would be a good one to hide the cable modem under the back of the desk :)
