Project Red Alert - Completed :)

Ok finally finished Project red alert .

The final spec was as follows,

Venice Cored 3500+ running at 2.6ghz
Abit Fatal1ty mobo.
1 gig, G.skill ram.
SLI'd Pair of XFX GeForce PCX6600 Extreme XXX Edition 256MB DDR2 TV-Out/Dual DVI - running at 538 Core, 984 Memory. Pretty decent O/C from 450/800 default.

The only Benchmarks I was able to run where 3dMark05 and 06.

On stock single GPU I got :-
3dMark05 - 3212
3dMark06 - 1494

Overclocked single GPU I got :-
3dMark05 - 3521
3dMark06 - 2106

SLI stock speed I got :-
3dMark05 - 5703
3dMark06 - 2606

SLI overclocked I got :-
3dMark05 - about 5760 (forgot to upload the project to ORB)
3dMark06 - about 2620 (forgot to upload the project to ORB)

This compares to the X800GTO2 I used initially (unlocked to 16 pipes and clocked at 515 MHz / 598 MHz.

3dMark06 - 2106

Overall quite an interesting project. Without further testing it's difficult to put a clear winner between two 6600's and a X850XT (which is essentially what the X800 is running as ). Similar price and performance in benchmarks.

The fan on the side looks super

Thanks, I was rather pleased with it as I bought it cos I needed a fan, rather than looking for a red... Much to my delight turned out to be red
