Hi guys,
So I'm new to the whole building a PC and have been waiting for years to be able to finally afford what I wanted. Last week I made my achievement of building what I considered to be a pretty awesome rig for cheap. naturally it didn't stay cheap for very long and ended up in the region of 1200 quid :/
So heres what I have at current:
Case: NZXT Phantom Enthusiast Full Tower - Red
Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX
CPU: AMD FX-6100
GPU: MSI Radeon HD 7950
Ram: TeamGroup Elite 8GB 1600Mhz
PSU: OCZ 650W 80 plus bronze modular
SSD: Sandisk 64GB
Hdd: WD 1TB
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60
First Batch of bits arrived

Now the Fun begins

Now starting to build things, first things first, get the case opened up.
Motherboard out the box along side the CPU cooler
GPU fitted
Cooler and Motherboard Fitted into the case
The fan that was in the back ended up in the front as that was the only spare slot and I didnt want to see a fan go to waste.
So my room kinda exploded while I was doing this
Dual screen 24"
8 o'clock that night my PSU arrived thank god.
Didnt take a lot to get it fitted
Rig fired up sort of first time, kinda plugged the switches in wrong way round so the power button was wired as the reset.... ooops
Now at current the rig is Red/Blue with all black cables, my plan is for red with luminous green, and make the rig watercooled. also tidy the whole thing up and possibly make the cables myself.
The plan for the next load of mods will be
OcUK Tech Lab V6 watercooling kit
GPU cooler for the HD7950
another WD 1tb HDD and then run Raid (1 or 5) cant remember atm.
Fill up all the remaining slots on the case with full size fans, mount 1 120 radiator in the rear exhaust, if room permits then a second 240 rad in the top if not then this will be mounted in the middle of the case (not ideal but only place left with space).
Green lights for all vents, convert the LEDs in the fan controller and HDD to green.
Green cables.
Although while writing this and searching through at other peoples ideas, thanks to SavellM I now think I'm going to make a standalone unit for the case to sit on in which to mount all my radiators as the rig far as I can see can only realistically house a 120 and 140 rad in the back and front respectively and think itll be better to run larger radiators if i can. time and money will tell
