Modified a few 3.5" SSD Holders and Used the existing Holes on the Case. Think Its a perfect fit :)

@mark

They dont come cheap.

MDPC-X MDPC-X Extensions
Colours : white/red/black/white

8 Pin PCI-E 8 pin PCI-E Extension x2
8 Pin CPU 8 pin CPU Extension
4 pin CPU 4 pin CPU extension
24 Pin 24 pin extension
SATA 3 SATA3 (6GBPs) Cables x3

Costing £90-100 in total for the above.

Luckily i already bought the MDPC-X Sleeving 2 months ago. As MDPC-X have stopped their selling for a few months while they relocate. So i am able send the sleeving off for to get done.
Hoping i have enough left over to do another 2 8pin pcie extensions in future

@setter

Im going to paint on some white onto the armour probably highlight the name and the groved lines withing the armour for a contrast

@mark
Ive went for the White/Red/Black/White

@Paul
Will be replacing the single sapphire with the 2 rog Matrix eventually probably around xmas time

Ive had previous matrix cards and they are absolute beasts compared to other cards. yet again i could change my mind closer to the time.

Never know i might go crazy and drop in a single AresIII instead lol

@Eddieg

Have been wanting a 144mhz monitor.
But then if all goes well when i upgrade to 4k in 3-4 months ill probably lose £80/£100 on resale of the monitor which is 20% to the cost of 4k. Ill probably hold off unless i can pick up a good quality on 2nd had

The one i like Asus ASUS VG248QE is on the bay. Got a very high buy it now price. Mite watch it see if can get it at a good price. Maybe £100 less than retal would be good lol

Looks like build start might be delayed due to yet another DPD **** up.

Parcel was supposed to be "on its way to depot in CoDown" however status as of last night shows its stiiling in Athlone (ireland) 180miles away. and delivery date now showing as expected Wednesday.

They said this is their main sorting depot for ireland. However ive never had a parcel show athlone on my tracking before and delivey was booked with OCUK on Friday early morning meaning 2 working days being Tuesday. If delivery is delayed ill be telling OCUK to claim back full shipping cvosts as they done me free delivery.

Spoke with customer service who say dont worry it will be late afternoon today.

but ive no faith in pdp probably one of the worst delivery companies about

lovely spec list! I really like the Formula.
if you want inspiration, look at what Snef did to his motherboard. absolutely stunning!

Was thinking about highliting the "groved part and nake in white/red"

Excuse the awful rush PAINT job haha
Also Ignore the Crosschill bit as the block colouring will look daft and not suttle enough

nice productive lunchtime over. Sold Old Fx8350 , crosshair v formula and 16gb patriot ddr for £260. less than 12 hours after upgrade.

:)

well i decided to bite the bullet and ordered

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus Radeon R9 290X ROG Matrix 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (MATRIX-R9290X-P-4GD5) £479.99
Total : £489.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Been wanting it for ages, and after the fast sale on my old parts i went for it.
Will be getting the 2nd one around christmas. Wont be costing me much. wee £300 work bonus and £100 from cashback and £35 cashback from the intel promotion. So the 2nd one isnt really setting me back much :)

@ jimbaw

Yup. Good Guess.

I got very lucky i had already purchased the sleeving from MDPC-x. They have now closed their operation for an un disclosed amount of time while they "take a break" and relocate.

if it wasnt for this fact i wouldnt have been able to get such nice extensions made.
I still need to get some other cables sleeved. (Sata power cables) However they are not on show too much so not a big issue.
