Right well I havent realy done any proper case modding for a long time. it seems to be a bit of a dead art nowdays being as manufacturers are producing cases for everyones needs.

But as i have seen on the forums and such a lot of people still prefer to build their own modified cases.

And aparently so does my 6 year old

So i gave my 6 year old all the stuff from my old PC after i built the ROG.

Nothing flashy. Gigabyte cheapo MB. AMD 7750 be. 2 gb of OCZ 800mhz ram. and a 9800GT.

So i am starting to fit all the parts to my old CM storm scout case. When Ben (my 6 year old) suddenly runs off to his room and comes back with his magazine. opens it up on a page with a big picture of sonic. and says "I WANT THAT ONE".

So after a briefe discussion with the lad. I managed to talk him out of the new style of sonic. and go for an original sonic look.

So the next step was to get a decent picture of sonic that i could use as a template.

i masked up the side of an old "cheapo" case and draw around the template we made.

Then using a dremel and my trusty festool jigsaw we had this.

Now after a good cleanup. we got some acid etch primer and primed the entire case.

then after another trip to hellfrauds. we painted the carcase blue and the side panels yellow.

Well ben loved it. But I thought the plane yellow sidepanels did not look right.

SO..............

Anougher trip to helfrauds and some stupidly expencive low tack tape. An straight edge, a sharp knife. and a lot of swearing. We ended up with this.
