Hey there,
Just a simple build log for a Trinity I am putting together for my brother, it's nothing special and will be for Minecraft mainly and to start him off with his first computer! The build is very basic, however I still want to make it look quite nice and to a decent standard, although the hardware lacks a bit should be a great little machine to upgrade in the future.
Here's the specs:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte F2A85X-D3H AMD A85X Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £64.99
1 x AMD A6-5400K Black Edition 3.60GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Dual Core Processor (AD540KOKHJBOX) £55.99
1 x TeamGroup Xtreem LV 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-17000C11 2133MHz Dual Channel Kit (TXD38G2133HC11DC01) £49.99
1 x Corsair Builder Series CX 430w Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply (CP-9020058-UK) £39.98
1 x **B Grade** Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (HD-252-SE) £30
1 x Gigabyte KM6150 Keyboard and Mouse Set £9.98
1 x OcUK Tech Labs - Zaward Golf III Fan 120mm ZG3-120TL TRIPLE PACK £7.99
Total : £270.94 (includes shipping : £10.00).
I already had a case and the rest of the parts, it's an old CaseCom case, but served me well and does the job well. I know the A6 is lacking, but the budget was tight and I had to compromise somewhere, however for Minecraft a dual-core is perfectly fine. An upgrade to a A-10 in the future may be on the cards.
Build log -
Motherboard in the case is lovely, and the modular cables have made it cleaner than I expected, the case isn't the best for cable management, but it doesn't look that bad. Just have the RAM to add in tonight to get everything setup and then a fan extender cable to come Saturday for my side panel and front fan as the cable is a little to short. Very happy with how's it turned out so far.
Opinions, Will cable tie some of the cable to make it look a little better, but it's the best the case will offer as it stands.
Thanks for looking!
