This is my first high spec PC build for about 10 years and my first foray into watercooling so things might get interesting...

The general plan is for a black & white theme with UV blue accents and a few minor custom mods here and there. The requirements for this system are something that can be used for gaming, software development and video encoding with minimal noise. As Mrs Stringbean has been generous with the budget this has lead to slightly OTT specs:

Main hardware (already purchased):

Water-cooling (not purchased yet):
  • Aqua Cooling D5
  • EK-RES X3 250
  • EK-XTOP Revo D5 - Acetal
  • EK-Supremacy EVO X99 - Nickel/Plexi
  • EK-FC Titan X - Acetal
  • EK-FC Titan X Backplate - Black (if EVGA backplate doesn’t fit)
  • EK 10/12mm PETG tubing
  • EK-HDC black fittings
  • 560mm radiator
  • 480mm radiator
  • Mayhems UV Clear Blue coolant

CaseLabs SMA8 configuration:
  • Colour: black
  • Layout: standard ATX
  • Top cover: ventilated
  • Lower chamber covers: ventilated
  • Side doors: XXL window and solid
  • Flex-bays: 140.3 fan mount
  • Chassis mid-plate: solid
  • Chassis bottom-plate: cut-out with cover
  • Extras: 140.4 radiator side mount, reservoir mount & USB 3.0 I/O
