Hey everyone,

Just running this build past people before I pull the trigger just in case I've missed anything or there's any huge oversight. Any suggestions for better parts to swap out or suggestions in general are much appreciated.

CPU: i7-8700k
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-A Intel Z370
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x4GB) 3000MHz
GPU: MSI 1080 Gaming X Plus
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650w G3
Case: Corsair 400c
SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 500
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB

My only worry is that the D15 won't have enough clearance for the motherboard since the IO shield on it is quite big but other than that I'm open to any suggestions.

Hi

I would switch out the Ram for a 2 x 8 GB kit. No point in filling all the ram slots up.

The EVGA G3 supposedly has a pretty aggressive fan profile so it can be a bit loud. The Seasonic Focus Gold and Corsair RMx 650W units are cheaper anyway. Both of these have 10 year warranties.

As for the D15 it should fit fine. There is nothing flagged on Noctua's website for compatibility issues.

Looks like a nice set-up. Maybe keep an eye out for 3600MHz RAM as long as it only costs £10-20 more. With DDR4 prices increased across the board it's sometimes the case 3600 is not much more expensive than 3000, right now.

Nothing really wrong with what you have listed, the ram was the only thing really worth changing for reasons listed, I’d probably grab a different case as there is some nice cases out of you want something astheticaly pleasing
