I hooked my PC up to my projector and no matter what resolution i use the desktop screen does not fit the entire size of the projector screen. I end up with about 5-7inches of unused screen on each side of the desktop.
When I stick my xbox on however it covers the entire size of the screen perfectly and sometimes when i switch my reciever back to the pc display the desktop somehow magically changes and covers the entire screen like the xbox. I’ve checked the resolution on the occasions when this happens but it doesnt actually appeared to have changed. The projector has a limited zoom feature but when i zoom out to make the desktop fit better the xbox display overlaps the screen.
I’ve had a good look about on some other forums and seen a few similar threads but no deffinitive answers.

Reciever Sony 2400es
Projector infocus x9
