Looking for suggestions for a projector for a small room. Smart TV features etc. I don't really know anything about them.

The budget for the TV wouldn't have been the same. It's just my teenager likes the idea of a projector I thought someone here might have some knowledge of projectors.

What exactly is it going to be used for?

Tv shows/movies? Games? General computer use?

I got this projector for going on holiday to the family beach house along with this stand and screen. I wanted something I could easily pack up and transport to and from.

The projector has surprisingly good video quality, I wasn't expecting miracles at this price point but it was very surprising and even the audio quality is decent. It's obviously nowhere near as good as the OLED TV, but for a fraction of the price it's pretty good in my opinion and there's something about being a projector and big screen (80") allows you to be more accepting of any shortcomings.

The setup is incredibly easy and accurate (real-time auto focus, auto keystone etc). Unfortunately, it has doubled in price since I got it. It has Netflix and Prime apps built into it, so that's nice and easy. The Disney app is through a web browser so not quite as slick, but still works. I'll be plugging a Firestick into it anyway and also my media player. The screen I got has an opaque backing rather than being semi-transparent, so you get a decent picture on it. Came with a handy stand as well.

Hopefully these links are ok as OC doesn't appear to sell projectors and also a few photos of me testing it at home:

I started with the Chinese options for 100-200 quid, waste of time. Ended up paying 650 quid for a ViewSonic laser projector.

One of the best things I ever bought! In short, 500 quid up is what you're looking for at entry level, forget inbuilt Android that's just a gimmick. Spend a bit more for a 'dumb' device and hook a Firestick up to it. Stellar results for the price.

Excellent colours there on the projector.

The Victim one is paused, it does that deliberately in the app, it's a dimming overlay feature to protect the TV. You can see that the white in the title is fine.

The Star Wars one is coloured like that in the film during that scene, the colours change rapidly. This is a photo I just took of it from my computer monitor.
