Projector help

Hi all,

SWMBO has allowed me to look at a projector for the playroom, so I am now on the lookout.

The room is 2.97, (9'9") x 2.92m (9'7") and I am looking along the lines of HD141x or Benq W1070.

If I was to go with the Benq and my room dimensions, I would only be able to have 70" instead of the 80" quoted by Optoma throw calculator. I would be looking for an 80" drop down screen (TV is Wall Mounted in there)

Just really looking for thoughts / suggestions on screen size / recommendations / etc..

Is the HD141x a good starer projector? It will primarily be used for gaming and sports watching.

What sort of screen should I be looking for?

Budget wise £500 for the PJ and upto £200 for the screen I would say to get me started.

Thanks all, my friends have the W1070 and I haven't seen any rainbow effect at all when viewing theirs, so may have a search and see where I can pick one up.

Once I have one, I will test screen size before committing to one.
