Projector questions, help with calculations

Ok, deciding on getting a projector to use alongside my current 42'' plasma, rather than replacing my plasma with say a 65''.

Decided on the BenQ W1070+ ( As I need WIFI, hard to get HDMI to projector ! )

Anyways according to their website I managed this:



Which shows for a screen that is 82'' in size, which i think seems more than enough at about 3m distance I need to pretty much put the projector above my coffee table and will be about 70cm down from the ceiling ! seems crazy !

I have mis calculated somewhere ? As if it is that much I may just get the W1080 and just put it on my coffee table when i want to use it.

That's not what the details from your screen grab show at all. Have another read.

Yeah your description and screenshot don't match in terms of the distances from wall to projector location, and ceiling to projector distance.

I will try find the website I used when I was calculating mine

EDIT: Distance is the main factor. Ceiling/Coffee table height is really only a factor if your projector doesn't have feet, or if the ceiling mount is static.

Seems to state a screen size of 104" roughly
