I'm in the middle of planing projects and budgets for 2009. 2006-2008 were big project years for our business in which I :

1) Replaced the telephony system with Asterisk VoIP
2) Replaced the network core and edge with Gigabit based on HP 2900 switches
3) Replaced front firewall with Cisco ASA 5500
4) Upgraded half the client PC population
5) Virtualised the majority of the server infrastructure (due to happen in August 2008)
6) Brought VPN and Exchange Activesync in house.
7) Implemented a new disaster recovery solution based on disk to disk to tape and UltraBac.
8) Brought the business system software (MFG/PRO) in house.

Now for 2009 I want to replace the rest of the PC client population and begin to investigate newer versions of Exchange, Windows Server and Office. Other than that I'm really struggling to think of what else really needs to be brought up to date!

So thats why I'm posting. What stuff are you considering for IT projects for 2009? Give me some ideas! :)
