Hi all

Having a bit of a problem with a ml370 g4, I cannot get an OS onto it. I have deleted and recreated the raid array as someone gave me the server. He had win2000 on it but I wanted 2003 to have a play around.

I cannot get the server to boot from a CD, I've done the obvious like set cd to first in boot order, took raid card out and used onboard just incase but no joy. It does not seem to even spin the CD up at all, you can see it trying to boot from floppy. But it did boot from CD once but then failed to create dos partition when using smartstart cd.

Any suggestions? Gonna swap CD drive tonight when I'm home just in-case its a dud or I supppose I could try booting from USB.

Cheers

Most will give an option along the lines of "press f8 for boot menu" - try that and select CD

Remember you'll need to boot from the Smart Start CD to install it properly
