from user tests, and tested myself, the MK13 cannot cool down the GTX 580 on load. we all know that the 480 gets even hotter, so it wont cool this card down either.

maybe you can add Gelid Icy Vision next - cheaper, good at cooling VRM and compatible with almost all new GPUs

In short, as a passive cooler on its own not good enough, but when paired with an ultra quiet fan it did a good job and was still the quietest card by miles in their test round up.

I imagine this cooler turning out very similar

It is great to see a cooler out there which is suitable with a vast range of graphics cards from old to new. Plus it is manufactured by Prolimatech who have proven to be great with the Megahalems, this shows how good they really are.

This. I managed to ah... Mod my mates' 480 midplate (while still attached to the card ) with a file to fit my 580's twin frozr cooler.

How about the OCUK GTX460? (Which is an MSI card, believe its reference so should fit...)

Edit : Going by the Prolimatech website I would need an additional bracket for it to fit! Oh well.
