Thanks a lot, really helps, using a 22inch 1680x1050 right now, i do game abit and general surfing, would a 27inch be a good leap up in terms of size, also been looking at the new samsung led 27inch about £280, really want a 27inch for size really

27 inch is quite a size differance from 22 it about the right size for me any bigger and you would have to start moving your head to look at the whole screen . surfing on most sites looks fine but text on white pages does look a bit washed out . I cant comment on the samsung led monitor as i have not seen one in the flesh

Get the same monitor but with the better stand. The brightness and contrast are way high by default hence the washed out look. Apart from that great screen. I also went from a 22'' and the 27'' is plenty big enough for full hd res. Any bigger and the pixel pitch may start to be a problem unless you sit far away.
 
thanks for feedback, thinking of buying this now, looking for cheapest price, had my 22inch for many years, wanting a change, looking for big difference om size so it dont wear off too soon :)
