...Just bought a ticket for the school prom and i need some nice smart casual clothes to go :). As it's my last one (Uni next year)... I was thinking of wearing a nice skinny tie.. slim fit shirt...connies .... You know the deal. What do you guys reccomend for me to look at?

P.s Im not an Emo, although the clothes would suggest otherwise lol :P x

You only have to wear smart casual? Baa...the proms I've been to have been black tie/wear a suit.

Don't be a drone and go for white shirt with skinny black tie unless you want to, but I'd recommend wearing some proper trousers and shoes. But that's my personal preference because to me converse look like clown shoes.

LOL! I thought you did!!

Nah i was on about a tux, you should get yourself one of those, cant beat them for a prom and youll look smart. You got a date yet?

Nah, got no date yet :( But a few girls have asked whether i was going with anyone. Might just go alone and take up the role of "The badge seeker :D" (TG - Reventon)

Aren't these usually a formal occasion?

For the record, there is no such thing as a "nice" skinny tie.

A skinny tie is more fashionable than a fat tie right now.

Yes, but fashionable folk nowadays look like inbred burn victims with their skin tight jeans, skinny ties and £5 fedora hats.

What is fashionable does not necessarily look good. Talk a walk outside and look at all the fashionable boys wearing their 13 year old sister's jeans and negro bling bling style hooded tops.

Now now boys. Bow tie is what he needs.
Agreed, assuming of course that it is a formal event.

Fashion is subjective, what's your point?

Fat ties make you look like an old man, that's all.
