Hi All,

Quick question regarding the prood of ownership of the vehicle...is there any documentation to prove as such?

The scenario is I have a company car which was paid out right, I have received the log book which shows I am the keeper, but nothing about the company owning.

Is there such a document which my company should receive? They are not UK based hence why they are not 100% sure themselves.

Thanks

The document you need is an invoice and a corresponding receipt.....

Thanks All,

Just checked and all invoices etc are in my name and not the companies :D:D

I guess the remittance advice from the company proves that they paid for the car anyway.

Question then...what is stopping me selling this car and claiming it is my own?

I would have assumed there would have been some documentation for ownership.

Work for an Irish company, all business leases are usually only for UK VAT registered companies.

I was given a budget, chose the car, invoice was sent and company paid for it cash. Just checking the invoice however it was made in my name with my home address.

I now wonder if there could be a slight loophole here to not pay the company car tax?!
