Ok so disclaimer: I haven't watercooled in about 7 years, last I Did G1/4 wasn't even a standard and compression fittings were rare...

Ok So decided to do a full system upgrade and bit the bullet and bought waterblocks, now to just complete the rest.

System
Asus hero VII z97
4790k
Asus RoG Matrix platinum 290x

Waterblocks:

CPU EK-Supreme LTX - Acetal+Nickel CSQ Intel http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-309-EK&groupid=962&catid=1519&subcat=2286no mounting plate kit.
GPU EK 290x Matrix nickel+acetal http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-603-EK + backplate.

Now I understand the CPU block aint that great but it will do...

Now for fittings I was thinking of 19/13 as I have always done 1/2 tubing, however nowadays with the G1/4 threading I am wondering if it is even worth it really VS 16/10, seen some guides and reviews and well seems pretty much a wash, So I would like opinions of people on here regarding this.

As for the fittings themselves I was thinking either Monsoon (like the anodized red) , any opinions here other then they don't make 45degree fittings? Quality seemed top notch from what I read. Otherwise just plain standard EK/XSPC or maybe even swiftech fittings I suppose.

As a Pump I am really not sure here as well I have used a DDC in the past but they are somewhat loud and not sure I will need something as strong as a DDC/D5 for just these 2 blocks, what would you suggest here mind you if it is a bay res it has to be a single bay as the top 3 are occupied by a 4 in 3x5.25 HDD rack.

Now the not so fun part I am forbidden to change my case... Its a CM haf 912 advanced, so in short sux for WC. And the budget is as low as I can go in order to keep the misses happy.

Since I have no possibility to mount radiator internally. So I will mount it external. For radiator this is where I am completely lost currently, have read tons of reviews but in short they all seem to just say get the EK or XSPC rads nowadays due to better/lower pressure drops vs HW labs.

Considering I will mount it external I guess a dual or triple fan is as much as I will go for (240/280/360), thickness is not much of an issue, however I also dont want it to need fans blaring at 2k rpm for it to coll as it will be external. I really like the EK Water Blocks EK-CoolStream WE 360, however mounting this on top of my case might proove a challenge as I only have mounting holes for 120/200(140 is also doable I guess)mm fans. Then again where there's a will there's a way...

So In short Id like a low pressure drop rad that can keep my components cool. I do plan on overclocking both parts and want just the 1 radiator. Not entirely sure what they can do yet but GFX does 1175/5800 currently on air, haven't tested cpu at all sos 4.4+ lol. Recommendations?

For coolant I am leaning towards plain old regular Mayhem x1, dont need anything too fancy no case window. And for tubing probably Masterkleer or primochill. Might do a drain, might not depends if I can get the ok for the extra funds for it or not hehe...

Have I forgotten anything? Any further suggestions?

Right

1. Fittings don't really matter in terms of performance, you loose a very very small amount in terms of pressure drop when using 90 degree over straight but the drop is so small it doesn't even matter. So just get what ever fittings you like the look of.

2. The modern DDC pumps are much quieter then the older versions and you can even get PWM versions now to control the pump speed and thus noise with a fan header!

3. As you said, either an EK or XSPC radiator, at least 360mm for what you want to cool and 60mm thick if you can.

No it's not... That EK pump with a reservoir is no cheaper then a DDC and a reservoir top.

I've checked everywhere I can think and cant find any pwm 18w DDC's for the price you are quoting... I dislike res tops as they take ages to fill a loop doing it in small amounts without the pump sucking air though, so i'd always go for a seperate full sized res personally

I've never had that problem... just poor the fluid in as it's running... not difficult
