proper odbII tuning - anyone?

ok, i'm posting this on behalf a friend of mine. he has an extensively modified smart car (race cam, worked head, much larger turbo, bigger injectors, water/air chargecooler etc etc). we're now trying to find someone who can map it properly.

all that we;ve found so far are companies who resell RedDot maps. These are pre-written maps and are useless on a car this far from factory spec.

Does anyone know of any places that'll do a proper map for this car?

there may be some guys at www.checksumm.com forums that might be able to help. You can always have a go at it yourself with enough research.

Hmm I may well know someone that can do this , its a place closeby to where I used to work , from speaking to a friend yesterday who's having his BMW remapped there he may well be able to do yours.
Unfortunately I wont be able to speak to him till after Xmas but I can find out then if you wish?
This is in Manchester btw , where are you ?

Good idea. Simon at E-Maps drives (Or at least did a couple of months ago) a Smart Roadster, so he should have a fair idea about 'em

ta, i'll look around that site. i don't fancy trying to figure out how to map a stock ecu though.. my car runs a megasquirt ecu, now that i can map!

I'm not sure to be honest - but they will come to you to do the remap. He seemed pretty flexible when I asked him about a map for my car, so they might be able to tailor it for you.
